Hello, maghag! Welcome to wonderland!
Consider the overwhelming world of infinite scrolls and vanishing tabs. Then take a deeper look at independent magazines. Marvel at how print remains beautifully, defiantly real. Instead of chasing clicks, they hold space for slower thoughts, sharper ideas, and deeper culture.
At SPRUCE, we champion this quiet rebellion. Every indie magazine on our shelves is a tactile invitation to slow down, feel something, and think harder. They are vibrant universes of revelations, rather than being deemed as analog relics.
We made this as a love letter to print and a rallying cry to those who still believe in thoughtful publishing, artistic defiance, and the unmatched magic of turning a page.
If you're a reader, a dreamer, a designer, or just digitally exhausted, this one's for you.
THE QUIET ACT OF REBELLION
01
Choosing print in an age of digital abundance is an act of rebellion. It is a declaration that substance and longevity matter more than fleeting trends and superficiality. Consider it a silent protest against the transient nature of online content. It says, “I value depth over hype, intensity over brevity.”
TANGIBLE TOUCHSTONE OF REALITY
02
Print bestows upon us a quiet elegance that the digital realm cannot ever replicate. To hold a magazine, feel its weight, and turn its pages is to engage in an intimate experience with knowledge—a tactile experience that deepens our connection to the content.
AESTHETIC THAT BECKON
03
Print bestows upon us a quiet elegance that the digital realm cannot ever replicate. To hold a magazine, feel its weight, and turn its pages is to engage in an intimate experience with knowledge—a tactile experience that deepens our connection to the content.

04
THE GIFT OF SERENITY
Print offers a refuge of serenity in a world overwhelmed by notifications, constant connectivity, and the chaos of information. It invites us to slow down, savor the moment, and engage with undistracted focus, to drink deep from the well of knowledge. It is the antidote to our modern frenzy.
05
THE UNBREAKABLE BOND OF OWNERSHIP
Owning a magazine is a declaration of permanence, to possess a piece of cultural zeitgeist. As collectibles, it is an act of preservation. This investment transcends the temporal as they are markers of time, personal growth, and intellectual discovery. A tangible expression of our evolving selves.
06
RESONATING ECHOES OF HISTORY
Magazine pages bear the imprints of history. Each word and illustration carries the collective wisdom of humanity. Every page turned, every passage read, connects us to the countless minds and hands that shaped our intellectual heritage. It’s a journey through time and culture.
07
THE INTIMATE COMPANION
Magazines and books are our most faithful companions. They patiently await our return, offering solace, knowledge, and escape whenever we open their covers. They are our trusted allies in the journey of life.

PROVOCATEURS WITH A CAUSE
08
Independent magazines are the insurgents of the publishing world. While the world is ripe with clickbait and sensationalism, independent magazines emerge as strongholds of authenticity, embracing the unfiltered and the unapologetically real. They commit to the engaging, unvarnished, and perspectiveshifting view of the world.
SUBSTANTIVE STORYTELLING
09
Independent magazines are the scribes of in-depth narratives and chroniclers of profound journeys, weaving tales that demand more than just a cursory glance. They serve as incubators of creativity, nurturing the artistic visions of photographers, writers, and artists who may otherwise be drowned out in the cacophony of mass media.
CATALYSTS OF CHANGE
10
Independent publications ignite conversations, spark debates, and serve as catalysts for social and cultural change. They are the vanguards of progressive thought. Indie magazines are agents of change, sowing the seeds of social progress, inspiring new perspectives, and questioning established paradigms.

CHAMPIONING THE INDIE PRINT REVOLUTION.
In a riotous era dominated by relentless digital noise, superficial bombardments, and fleeting online content, magazines are all the more important because they offer a refuge of respite and intimacy. The well-crafted magazine persists as a reassuring sanctuary of reflection. In its pages, we find a break from the ceaseless stream of flimsy content and rediscover the joy of unhurried, thoughtful, and inspiring engagement.
Spruce will champion independent and authentic voices. We believe in the power of independent magazines, zines, and monographs. Our mission is to inspire creative osmosis, cultivate a devoted and discerning community of magazine lovers, and provide a curated crucible of personal, creative indulgence.
We invite you, dear magazine lover, to join us in this journey of discovery, inspiration, and community as we champion independent voices and the enduring allure of print in the modern world.

EXHIBITIONS
Often, in the labyrinthine corridors of the art world, emerging artists are left groping in the dark, excluded from the elitist circles, and overshadowed by those already in the limelight. Hopefully, it's time we recognize why championing these untested visionaries is unquestionably necessary.
Firstly, emerging artists are the lifeblood of imaginative creation. They're not tainted by the demands of a market-driven system, allowing them to experiment, take risks, and pioneer the avant-garde. Secondly, they represent a fresh perspective, challenging more commercially-slanted establishments and pushing the boundaries of creativity.
At Spruce Gallery, we will take a somewhat naive stance: we will attempt to crusade for artistic underdogs. With much curiosity and enthusiasm, we will try to unearth obscure visioners and connect them with audiences open to embrace potential and unproven prospects. By doing so, we hope to inject an occasional, much-needed adrenaline into the art scene, reminding us that brilliance often emerges from the unlikeliest places.

JEFF SISCAR: Squares Of Water
April 11, 2026
Siscar approaches painting from the mind of an architect, where space is expected to behave, and decisions eventually resolve. In this exhibition, space does something else entirely. Perspective shifts, surfaces withdraw their promises, and environments that seem precise slowly become uncertain. The works place the viewer in a curious position, aware of structure yet unable to fully rely on it.
The exhibition touches on architecture, perception, and psychology, and may remind some viewers of Escher’s impossible spaces, de Chirico’s psychological architecture, or Magritte’s shifting logic. Yet Siscar’s work ultimately concerns something very human: how we move forward when certainty never fully arrives.
You can view his collection at our location from April 11 to May 8, 2026.
